Well, we finally got the rain we have been waiting for here in Taupo. It has come down in buckets the last two days, all of the rivers have hit big levels and as they settle we should be into for some serious runs. The fly fishing should be some of the best of the winter so far. If nymphing, make sure you get down on the bottom! Add extra weight if need be. Make sure you fish the edges and softer water as the fish will be looking for relief. Don't forget swinging a wooly bugger!
Hope you make the most of it.
Cheers!
